Leta Cross

Leta Churchill Cross, 83, of Blue Springs, Mo., and formerly of Anna, Ill., and Perks, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, in Blue Springs.

She was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Perks, daughter of Harry and Bertha Moake Churchill. She married Cecil L. Cross on Oct. 7, 1940, and he preceded her in death on April 8, 1989.

Cross was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include four sons, Gerald Cross, Gerard Cross and Neil Cross, all of Blue Springs, and Deon Cross of Huntley, Ill.; a sister, Cleta Casper of Perks; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandson.

Visitation will be at the time of the services at graveside.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Meisenheimer Cemetery in Dongola, Ill. The Rev. Dwayne Cross will officiate.
