Leta Ann Hutson Ferguson, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 30, 1900, at Millersville, daughter of Jeff and Amanda Smith Hutson.
In 1935, she married Dean Ferguson in Chariton, Iowa. He died in 1959.
She is survived by a brother, Lynn Hutson of Cape Girardeau; a step-grandson, Dr. Mike Miller of Chariton; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a former schoolteacher in Burfordville, Oran and Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Owen officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
