Lester Whitticre, of 805 North Park, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 1991 at his home. He was 90.
He was born Oct. 22, 1900 at Wolf Lake, Ill., the son of Charley and Cora Shirley Whitticre. In 1965, he retired from International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
Whitticre married Belma Pauline Sander on Jan. 10, 1925. She survives, in addition to a son, Lester Paul Whitticre; a grandson, Larry Whitticre; a great-grandson, Randy Whitticre; and a great-granddaughter, Jennifer Whitticre. All are of Cape Girardeau.
Also surviving are sisters Hester Brown and Gladys Blank, both of Cape Girardeau, and Lorene Long of Wayne, Mich.
Friends may call Monday after 6 p.m. at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Carl Richardson, associate pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will preside. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
