JACKSON -- Lester Roy Nanney, 82, of Jackson, died Monday, June 12, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 12, 1913, at Marble Hill, son of William and Alice Nations Nanney. He and Bessie Masters were married Aug. 3, 1935, at Marble Hill.

Nanney farmed and was a concrete worker in the Jackson area all his life.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roy and Bob Nanney of Jackson; six brothers, Cecil Nanney of Advance, Chester, Lee, Bob, Melvin and Alfred Nanney of Marble Hill; six sisters, Ethel Schreiner of Millersville, Stella Carman and Louise Smith of St. Louis, Nancy Dockins, Thelma Nanney and Velma Cook of Marble Hill; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter and two brothers.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lessley Ridge Cemetery near Gravel Hill.
