LESTER MILLER

ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral service for Lester O. Miller will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Anna United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Sullins officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today, and at the church Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Miller, 89, died Tuesday, June 11, 1996, at City Care Center.

He was born Oct. 31, 1906, in Union County, son of Levi and Julia Duke Miller. He and Cynthia Williams were married Dec. 31, 1932. She preceded him in death. He and Fannie Brumitt were married July 13, 1968. She also preceded him in death.

Miller had been a farmer, and was a member of Anna United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Carol, Jerry and Larry Miller of Anna; six daughters, Annetta Sellger of Monee, Eleanor Clardy and Donna Miller of Anna, Cynthia Hall of Tampa, Fla., Betty Casey of Buncombe, Janet Treece of Sparta; two sisters, Geneva Dale of Cobden, Mae Cerney of Jonesboro; a brother, Owen Miller of Jonesboro; 23 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, daughter, two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
