LESTER COHEN

THEBES, Ill. -- Funeral service for Lester "Toad" Cohen of Thebes will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Billy Don Heady will officiate, with burial in National Cemetery at Mound City.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today, and until service time Wednesday.

Cohen, 56, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Oct. 30, 1938, in Olive Branch, son of Claude Edward and Goldia Gullett Cohen. He and Donna Johnson were married Aug. 14, 1965.

Cohen was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sheila White of Thebes, Willie Joann Cohen of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lela Miller of Olive Branch; two brothers, Fred Cohen of Granite City, John Cohen of Olive Branch, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
