SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lessie Louise Marshall, 84, of Joplin, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Meadows Care Center in Joplin. She was born July 15, 1919, in Sikeston, daughter of George Edward and Winnie Nora Ward Tubbs. She and Samuel Price Marshall were married May 22, 1937, at Benton, Mo. He died June 13, 1999...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lessie Louise Marshall, 84, of Joplin, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Meadows Care Center in Joplin.

She was born July 15, 1919, in Sikeston, daughter of George Edward and Winnie Nora Ward Tubbs. She and Samuel Price Marshall were married May 22, 1937, at Benton, Mo. He died June 13, 1999.

Marshall was a member of Scotland Church of God near Joplin.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol York of Greenwood, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston after 11 a.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel at Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
