LESLIE E. JONES

ADVANCE -- Leslie E. Jones, 81, of Advance, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 1992, at Advance Nursing Care Center.

He was born Mar. 25, 1911 at Arbor, Mo., son of Franklin Jones and Mary Ann Reynolds Jones.

He was a teacher nine years in Southeast Missouri, then worked 35 years for Kass Construction Co., Des Moines, Iowa, as a heavy duty equipment operator.

He married the former Miss Clarice Winchester on Dec. 25, 1934 at Marble Hill. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters Kathryn Hartmann, Cadiz, Ky., and Karren Osborne, Kansas City; a brother, Ivan Jones, Bloomfield; a sister, Imogene Mungle, Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Service will be held Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance at 1 p.., with the Rev. Quinton Robins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill.

Friends may call at the funeral home between 4:30 and 8 p.m. Sunday.
