LESLIE ARMSTRONG

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Leslie M. "Leck" Armstrong of East Prairie will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. George White and Frank Cayson will officiate. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Armstrong, 64, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 20, 1935, in Hickman, Ky., son of Leslie L. and Frankie Hobbs Armstrong. He married Clara Bernice Morris July 30, 1957.

Armstrong lived in East Prairie most of his life. He was a retired truck driver, and member of First Baptist Church in East Prairie.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Todd Armstrong of East Prairie; two daughters, Linda Miller of Sikeston, Lisa Carver of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Billy Armstrong of Mountain Home, Ark.; two half brothers, Donnie Armstrong of West Memphis, Ark., Jerry Armstrong of Tyronza, Ark.; two half sisters, Margie Armstrong of Houston, Texas, Darlene Meeks of West Memphis; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
