MILLERSVILLE -- LeRoy J. Ruch, 82, of Millersville passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Monticello House in Jackson.

He was born May 23, 1929, in Friedheim, Mo., son of John O. and Corine Welker Ruch. He and Anna Lou Hahs were married on June 17, 1950. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2006.

LeRoy was a lifetime farmer and owned and operated the Ruch Charolais Farm near Millersville. He was employed by Co-op Service Center in Jackson, retiring in 1992. He held several positions with the SEMO Fair in Cape Girardeau, serving as the superintendent of livestock.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, Bishop Timon Knights of Columbus No. 6405 in Jackson and the American International Charolais Association.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Marsha Ann (Don) Leckrone of Daisy; four sons, Matthew A. (Kateri) Ruch, Dennis G. (Vickie) Ruch, Tim J. Ruch, Jeremy L. (Courtney) Ruch, all of Millersville; 12 grandchildren, Scott, Clay, Amy DeWeese and David Leckrone, Mindy (Justin) Petzoldt, 2nd Class Petty Officer/GM2 Ryan Ruch, Emily Ruch, Trisha (Rafe) Camp, Cory Ruch, Ethan Ruch, Dillon Ruch and Alexis Ruch; two great-grandchildren, Paige Nicole DeWeese and Madison Camp; two sisters, Lucille Moonier of Perryville, Mo., and Virginia Broeker of Cape Girardeau.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Abbott; a brother, Flavian Ruch; and a sister, Ruby Griep.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish prayer service will be at 7 with Deacon Walt Biri officiating.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
