PERRYVILLE -- LeRoy Francis Guyott, 83, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at Missouri Veterans Home. He was born May 2, 1915, in Perry County, son of Louis F. and Ida Tucker Guyott. He and Maud Cissell were married May 26, 1943. She died Jan. 13, 1979...

PERRYVILLE -- LeRoy Francis Guyott, 83, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born May 2, 1915, in Perry County, son of Louis F. and Ida Tucker Guyott. He and Maud Cissell were married May 26, 1943. She died Jan. 13, 1979.

Guyott retired as a shipping clerk at International Shoe Co. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, American Legion, and was a 4th Degree in Knights of Columbus.

He served with the U.S. Army in the 566th Ambulance Co. during World War II. He was awarded five Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include a brother, George Guyott of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Dorothy Bohnert and Ida Adams of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:40 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, and the American Legion wake at 7:30.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Richard Lause officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
