LEONARD SEITZ

HIGHLAND, Ill. -- Leonard E. "Lennie" Seitz, 87, of Highland died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital.

He was born Feb. 26, 1913, in Highland, son of Joseph H. and Ida Frey Seitz. He and Helen L. Holzweg were married May 28, 1947, in Highland.

Seitz operated Seitz Jewelry Store in Highland, retiring in 1987. He also opened and operated Seitz Office Supply. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was organist and choir director a number of years. He also was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1580 and Highland Pistol and Rifle Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Seitz of Jackson, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Seitz of St. Louis; a sister, Hilaria Geiger of Highland; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

There is no visitation.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, with the Rev. David Peters officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
