Leonard H. Hoppmann Sr., 89, of St. Louis died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1996. A native of St. Louis, he had been a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Leonard H. Hoppmann Sr., 89, of St. Louis died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1996.

A native of St. Louis, he had been a supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sons, Leonard Hoppmann Jr. of St. Louis, Phillip Hoppmann of Tampa, Fla., Robert Hoppmann of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Mary Ann Ellegood-Kruetzer of Owensville, Barbara Rueter of House Springs, Theresa Berron of Affton; three sisters and two brothers of the St. Louis area; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton from 3-9 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Seven Holy Founders Church in Affton. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks.
