JONESBORO, Ill. -- Leonard M. Barker, 73, formerly of Mill Creek, Ill., died Saturday, April 7, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Ill.

He and Ruth Thibodeau were married Aug. 27, 1964, in Chicago. She died July 18, 1996.

A veteran of World War II, Barker was a self-employed truck driver and mechanic.

Survivors include a sister, Velma Fear of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Hileman & Parr Funeral Services of Jonesboro, Ill., from 12 p.m. until the service on Monday.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Carl Land will officiate, with burial in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of Anna, Ill.
