SCOTT CITY -- Leonard Arthur Washburn, 78, of 208 E. 11th St. in Scott City, died Feb. 6, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 3, 1915, in Freemont, Mo., the son of James Franklin Washburn and Nancy Elizabeth Brandon. Both parents preceded him in death.

On Sept. 18, 1948, he married Arletta Stull. She survives.

He was a retired line operator for Killark Electric in St. Louis.

He also is survived by two sons, Richard Washburn of St. Louis and John Washburn of Delwood, Mo.; two daughters, Kay Holder and Leanna Dale, both of Scott City; two brothers, James Ray Washburn of Sikeston and Raymond Washburn of Hanford, Calif.; two sisters, Turly Keller of Los Angeles and Lena Maude Lewis of O'Fallon, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel with the Rev., Charles Lance and the Rev. Roger Leveillee officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
