Leona S. Mehls, 96, of Jackson died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 9, 1908, in Smyrna, Tenn., daughter of Thomas and Cora Covington Stone. She and William H. Little were married in 1925. He died in 1962. She later married E.W. Mehls in 1974, who died in 1990.
Mehls retired from the Blue Bell Co. in Nashville, Tenn. She was a former member of First Assembly of God Church in Nashville.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Rosenberg of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Kuehle officiating. Burial will be Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Nashville, with the Rev. Joe Gray officiating a graveside service at 1 p.m.
