Leona M. Jones, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 25, 1933, in Kelso, Mo., daughter of Otto and Lorena Schlosser Ressel. She and Jimmy R. Jones were married Sept. 26, 1959, at Kelso.
Jones graduated from St. Mary High School in 1951. She was employed by International Shoe Factory as a personnel manager for 15 years. Jones was a member of St. Mary Cathedral.
Survivors include her husband of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Kimberlee Joos of St. Louis; three sisters, Valeria Mirgeaux of Scott City, Joan Gleason of San Dimas, Calif., Judith Stevens of Kelso; three brothers, Mark Ressel of Kelso, Luke Wrestle of Scott City, James Ressel of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. with Knights of Columbus rosary immediately following.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefner officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
