BERNIE, Mo. -- Leona Lois Griffin, 84, daughter of the late Wenzil and Ruby Leona Creg Crow, was born Nov. 15, 1935, in Bernie and departed this life Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room in Cape Girardeau.
Leona was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Dee Eugene Griffin in Bernie on July 15, 1958. He preceded his wife in death Feb. 11, 2019.
Survivors include a son, Mark Dwight Griffin of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Linda Diane Siebert of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Ed, Keith and Darell Crow, all of Dexter, Missouri; sister, Linda Smothers of Branson, Missouri; grandchildren, Griffin, Garrett and Mallory Siebert, all of Cape Girardeau; and other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Leona was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Crow.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery.
