JACKSON -- Leona A. Thompson, 84, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1992, at her home.
She was born Jan. 31, 1908, at Pocahontas, daughter of Theodore and Wilhelmina Ludwig Kasten.
Thompson moved to St. Louis in 1928. She was a clerk at various drycleaning shops, retiring in 1971. She moved to Jackson last July.
Survivors include a son, Lynn Thompson of Washington, Mo.; a nephew she reared, Oscar Kasten of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Emma Kienninger of Jackson; three grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William Bernauer officiating.
There is no visitation. McCombs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
