Leon W. Zimmerman of Vassar, Mich., died Wednesday, July 31, 1991, at his home. He was born July 3, 1918, at Delta, son of Dallas H. and Ella Waddle Zimmerman. Leon W. Zimmerman of Vassar, Mich., died Wednesday, July 31, 1991, at his home.

He was born July 3, 1918, at Delta, son of Dallas H. and Ella Waddle Zimmerman. He was a graduate of Delta High School, and served with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific Front during World War II. Zimmerman retired from Eaton Manufacturing Co. in Vassar.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; four sisters, Beulah Rowland of Vassar, Lucile Long, Carolyn Isbell and Edna Welch of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Baptist Church in Vassar. Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
