PERKINS -- Leon Lawrence Stanley, 73, of Perkins, died Friday, June 7, 1996, at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1922, son of Isry and Edna Carter Stanley. He and Imogene Bain were married July 7, 1941.
Stanley was retired from Perkins Motor Works. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Doniphan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth and George Stanley of Oran; a daughter, Linda Phillips of Oran; a brother, Joe Carter of Doniphan; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and grandson.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 3 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Hargraves officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
