GRASSY, Mo. -- Leon B. Kackley, 80, of Grassy passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Leon was born March 11, 1936, in Monette, Arkansas, the son of the deceased Lee and Essie Kackley. Leon married Lavern Williams on Oct. 15, 1955, and she remained the love of his life for 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lavern; three children, Vickie (Ronald) Winberry, Darlene Kackley and Gwendlyn (Michael) Henry. He also is survived by five grandchildren, Timothy, Ryan, Jessica, Amanda and Brittany; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bulah Goodman of Magnolia Texas.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Valhalla-Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Internment will follow this visitation at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
