CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Leon Gosnell, 69, of Chaffee died on Friday, March 22, 2002, at his home.
He was born on July 9, 1932 at West Frankfort, Ill., son of Odus Harold and Anita Bertha Hess Gosnell.
He was a retired mechanic, having worked for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee and then Florsheim Shoe factory in Chaffee.
He and Lavonne Henley were married Sept. 3, 1955.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Chaffee; two sons, James Gosnell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Danny Gosnell of Commerce, Mo.; a sister, Anna Marie Clary of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a great-grandson.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Charles Tennison officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
