ANNA, Ill. -- Leon R. Eaves, 77, of Anna died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born July 9, 1924, in Bush, Ill., son of Raymond and Josephine Eubanks Eaves. He married Mary Ohnemus, who preceded him in death.
Eaves was an ironworker. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include three sons, Lee Eaves of Galesburg, Iowa, Brian Eaves of Cudahy, Wis., Steve Eaves of Wauwatosa, Wis.; two daughters, Ann Casey of Altoona, Iowa, Rosemary Eaves of Ankeny, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 9 a.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Darnell officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery at Dongola, Ill., with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
