CHARLESTON -- Leon "Red" Bradley Sr., 95, of Charleston, died Saturday, March 20, 1993, at Sikeston Health Care.
He was born March 1, 1898, in Macomb, Miss. He and the former Mary Hunt were married in 1934.
Bradley was employed 40 years by Mt. Level Farms of East Prairie. He was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church at Deventer, and served on the Usher Board.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Leon Bradley Jr. of Pinhook, Robert Bradley of Charleston; four daughters, L.C. Whitney and Catherine Owens of Charleston, Mattie Garth of Osceola, Ark., Bernice Gaines of Chicago; 53 grandchildren; 148 great-grandchildren, and 48 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew's Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Watson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
