PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leola L. Clifton, 88, of Perryville died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born Aug. 16, 1920, at McBride, Mo., daughter of Edgar and Cora Dubois Milliano. She and Clifford Clifton Sr. were married Aug. 16, 1941. He died March 1, 2003.

She was a machine operator at Prince Gardner. She belonged to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Perryville Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sisters, Eula "Dudie" Abernathy of St. Louis and Verline Abernathy of Perryville; two grandchildren; and a great- grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a Catholic wake at 7 p.m. and an Eastern Star service at 7:20 p.m., and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Joe Williams officiating.

Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.
