MCCLURE, Ill. -- Leo Richard Moureau, 97, of McClure died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Heartland Care and Rehab at Cape Gir-ardeau.
He was born May 30, 1903, at Jackson County, Ill., son of Alfred and Lena Wiegand Moureau. He and Flossie E. Dale were married March 4, 1950, at Piggott, Ark. She died Nov. 23, 1988.
Moureau was a member of Christ Lutheran Church at Neunert, Ill. He was a 50-year Mason and a member of St. Mark's Lodge at Cape Girardeau. He worked as a mechanic at St. Louis from 1920 to 1954. He also was a crane operator. After a 1954 retirement, Moreau farmed in Jackson County for 20 years. He moved to McClure after his 1975 retirement from farming.
Survivors include four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements for graveside services at Memorial Park Cemetery are pending at Ford and Sons Funeral Home.
