CHAFFEE -- Leon Barney Lauck, 87, of La Center, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at Lifecare of La Center. He was born June 29, 1909, in Chaffee, son of Vince and Frances Ourth Lauck. He and Leona Jane Roberts were married Feb. 9, 1932. She died Dec. 31, 1969...

CHAFFEE -- Leon Barney Lauck, 87, of La Center, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, at Lifecare of La Center.

He was born June 29, 1909, in Chaffee, son of Vince and Frances Ourth Lauck. He and Leona Jane Roberts were married Feb. 9, 1932. She died Dec. 31, 1969.

Lauck retired as a watchman at Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, and also farmed. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Leon Lauck of Paducah, Ky.; two brothers, Marcus Lauck of Springfield, Mo., Tony Lauck of Springfield, Ill.; a sister, Augusta Simpher of Chaffee; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
