PUXICO -- Leo Hendrix, 81, of Puxico died Thursday, March 30, 2000, at his home.
He was born July 24, 1918, at Greenbrier, son of Monroe and Fayette Summers Hendrix. He and Irene Barks were married Nov. 7, 1942, in Macon, Ga.
Hendrix was a retired construction worker. He lived in California nine years and St. Louis seven years, moving to Puxico in 1965. He was a member of Life Chapel Assembly of God Church.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Leman Hendrix of Kirbyville and Leland Hendrix of Wappapello.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Richard Dennis and Dan Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
