BENTON, Mo. -- Lenora Lou Ziegler, 72, of Benton, loving mother of two and adoring wife to husband Roy Ziegler, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of June 4.
She was born in Oct. 26, 1949, in Dexter, Missouri to Gene and LouElla Jeffries.
She grew up surrounded by her large family -- she had three brothers and six sisters. Lenora was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others and she incorporated that into her motherhood.
Lenora met her husband, Roy in 1970 at a dance and fell in love instantly. As a mother, she was generous, loving and kind. In her free time, she would enjoy traveling with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family especially by her two sons, Erik and Luke, who adore her with all their hearts.
Lenora is survived by her husband, Roy; two sons, Erik Ziegler and Luke (Melanie) Ziegler; five grandchildren, Jesse Ziegler, Seth (Kathleen) Little, Sarah (Tanner) Almond, Kyler Ziegler and Kaleb Ziegler; two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Jaxton Almond; two brothers, Leonard (Cindy) Jeffries, John (Missy) Jeffries; six sisters, Melinda Young, Melody Nausley, Brenda Jeffries, Beverly Jeffries, Sherri (Stacy) Duckett and Tracy (Wayne) Debrock.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steven Jeffries.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
