ST. PETERS, Mo. -- Lenda Lee Markowski peacefully entered eternal life Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, after a battle with stage 4 brain and lung cancer.
Lenda was born June 18, 1947, in Chester, Illinois, to Leonard and Mary Grah Harris.
Her spirit is carried on by her mother, Mary Johnson; two children, Michael Carpenter and Michelle Carpenter; her love and best friend, Michael Stahl; two grandchildren, Shaun Cothran and Samantha Carpenter; three surviving sisters, Susan Stulgin, Sandy Estes and Betsey Kurillo; and an extended family of relations and friends.
Lenda was predeceased by her father, Leonard Harris; and her younger sister, Debby Buchanan.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 22 at First Methodist Church in St. Charles, Missouri.
