Lenard Raymond Myrick, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Marble Hill, Mo., son of Thomas and Clara J. Funkey Myrick. He and Louise Russell were married Nov. 18, 2000, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Myrick served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 11, 1944, to April 15, 1946.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion in Florida.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Myrick of Muncie, Ind., Len Myrick of Yukon, Okla., Kevin Myrick of St. Louis; a brother, Hank Myrick of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will be in Glenallen Cemetery at Glenallen, Mo.
