ADVANCE -- Lena Long, 93, of Advance died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 6, 1903, in Rector, Ark., daughter of W.E. and Tenna Thomas Boner. She and John Long were married Sept. 7, 1918, at Bloomfield. He died Feb. 28, 1960.
Long had worked at Morgan Furniture Store, Bird's Store, and had been a guide with Robin's Tours. She was one of the founders of Advance Senior Citizen Nutrition Center, and was a former coordinator.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Long of Advance; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Payne officiating. Burial will be in Brownwood Cemetery at Brownwood.
