Lena Chloe Book, 87, of Conway, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1916, at Bernie, Mo., daughter of Marion and Florence Cross Mills. She and Homer Book were married March 10, 1940, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 21, 1990...

Lena Chloe Book, 87, of Conway, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at her home.

She was born Feb. 2, 1916, at Bernie, Mo., daughter of Marion and Florence Cross Mills. She and Homer Book were married March 10, 1940, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 21, 1990.

Book was formerly of Malden, Mo. She was a member of Bethany General Baptist Church at Campbell, Mo., had been a Sunday school teacher and teacher's aide, and was a frequent volunteer at Malden Nutrition Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Rapp of Conway; two sons, Neil Book of Rolla, Mo., Leon Book of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethany General Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bryan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
