DELTA -- Funeral service for Lelia Louise "Kitten" Brackett of Spring Valley, Calif., was held April 2 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in San Diego, Calif. The Revs. Mike Mitschke and Steve Kappler officiated. Burial was private.
El Cajon Mortuary and Valley Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Brackett, 69, died Sunday, March 30, 1997, at her home.
She was born May 22, 1927, at Delta, daughter of Will and Leta Foster. She and Jack Brackett were married Dec. 9, 1972. He died in May 1995.
Brackett was owner/operator of Classic Cleaners. She was a member of Our Redeemer Church, Police Advisory Board, Church Camping Group, treasurer of San Diego Dry Cleaners Association, and served on the board of BID Business Association.
Survivors include three sons, Will and Richard Spencer of San Diego, Rimmel Spencer of Oklahoma; three daughters, Voletta Driggers of South Carolina, Arlene Caudle of St. Louis, Juavata Clover of Jonesboro, Ill.; a sister, Barbara Halter of Delta; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
