LELA P. CHANEY

SIKESTON -- Lela Pearl Chaney, 75, Sikeston Route 3, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 10, 1918, at Matthews, daughter of Leroy and Maggie Morrow Pfifer. She and Russell P. Chaney were married June 21, 1937, at Charleston.

Chaney was retired from International Shoe Co. at Sikeston.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry and Mike Chaney of Sikeston; two daughters, Nancy Hunt of Sikeston, Carolyn Hall of Pflugerville, Texas; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church. The Rev. J. Daniel Stoffel will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston after 4 p.m. Sunday, and at the church Monday from noon until service time.
