LELA MAE SCHLUE

Lela Mae Schlue, 76, of Arnold, formerly of Jackson, died Friday, July 30, 1999, at Arnold.

She was born Jan. 13, 1923, near Jackson, daughter of J.S. Godwin and Daisy Cowan.

She married Paul Robert Schlue on Nov. 5, 1949, at Piggott, Ark. He died May 9, 1982.

She worked in a fitting room and at the Arnold Wal-Mart.

She is survived by a son, Robert Schlue, Wildwood; a daughter, Jan Davis of Arnold; two brothers, Woodrow Godwin of Cape Girardeau and Morrell Godwin of Jackson; four sisters, Wilma Walker and Mary Bell Headrich, both of Jackson, Hazel Williams of Cape Girardeau and Wanda Woodall of St. Charles; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cracraft-Miller Chapel in Jackson, with the Rev. Mary Keller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
