PERRYVILLE -- Lela M. Diefenbach, 87, of Perryville died Saturday, Sept 21, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 10, 1904, at Red Bud, Ill., the daugher of Henry and Caroline Henschen Rabe.
On Oct. 16, 1926, she married John H. Diefenbach, who preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1970.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, the Concordia Ladies Aid and the Women's Missionary League. She formerly worked as a receptionist for Dr. Bachman in Perryville.
Survivors include twin daughters, Jean (Diefenbach) Cissell of Perryville and Jeanette M. Schamburg of Bloomington Ill.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A brother, Harry Rabe, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanual Lutheran Church in Perryville. The Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
