Leigh Hamilton

Leigh J. Hamilton, 68, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 7, 1949, in New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Percy Lea and Lola Poirier Hamilton.

Leigh worked at Southeast Missouri State University as a groundskeeper.

Loving survivors include his wife, Beverly Evans of Cape Girardeau; four children, Tony Hamilton, Jacinda Hamilton, Natasha Hamilton and Andy Hamilton; brothers, Dan and Mark Hamilton; sisters, Debbie Hamilton and Rosemary Barry; and 10 grandchildren.

According to his wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Foundation, Attention: Leigh Hamilton, 410 Kiwanis Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
