MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Lee Frances Stewart, 78, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Lutesville, Missouri, daughter of Edwin and Thelma Kympton Pomeroy.
She and David Stewart were united in marriage Sept. 1, 1962, in Lutesville.
Lee was a music school teacher, the director of the community choir for over 33 years and choir director and member at the Marble Hill United Methodist Church since 1978. She was also a childbirth educator and essential-oils educator.
She is survived by her husband, David Stewart of Marble Hill; sons, Jonathan (Pamela) Stewart of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Keith (Shu-O) Stewart of Jackson, Benjamin Stewart of Glendale, California, and Anthony (Missy) Stewart of Marble Hill; daughter, Lora Lee Stewart of Marble Hill; brothers, Eddie Pomeroy of Florissant, Missouri, and Wilford Pomeroy of Orlando, Florida; sister, Phoebe Pomeroy of Marble Hill; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, David and Kenneth Pomeroy.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Marble Hill United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Michael Hargraves and Anthony Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
