CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Funeral Mass for Lee Roy Chambers of Chaffee will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The Rev. Ralph Duffner will officiate. Burial will be in Texas Bend Cemetery at Charleston, Mo.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Chambers, 73, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1927, in the Texas Bend community, son of Edward and Mary Lou Glenn Chambers. He and Lee Anna Dumey were married Nov. 22, 1952.
Chambers was a retired technician from Procter & Gamble. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church and St. Ambrose Men's Club, Chaffee VFW Post, and Knights of Columbus Council in Cape Girardeau.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Jack Chambers of Bartlett, Tenn., and Ronnie Chambers of Charleston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
