DEXTER, Mo. -- Lee J. Jarrell, 78, of Dexter died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 14, 1922, at Kennett, Mo., son of Lou David and Ada Villa Harris Jarrell. He and Beulah Black were married April 21, 1944, in Piggott, Ark.
Jarrell had lived in the Bloomfield, Mo., area all his life. He worked as a farmer and in concrete construction. He was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jim Jarrell, Jerry Jarrell, Tom Jarrell and Ronnie Jarrell, all of Bloomfield; three daughters, Kay Wiley and Patti Mason, both of Bloomfield, and Karen Franklin of Water Valley, Ky.; two brothers, Dwight Jarrell and Bill Jarrell, both of Bloomfield; five sisters, June Culbertson and Margie Black, both of Bloomfield, Louise Losh of Eminence, Mo., Ernestine Ward of Lansing, Mich., and Irene Springer of Racine, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Lemmons officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
