ADVANCE -- Lee J. Cox, 68, of Warren, Mich., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, in Warren. He was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Advance, son of Comelous and Althea Zimmerman Cox. He married Mary Eakins. Cox was a retired tool and die worker. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Cox of Las Cruces, N.M., Jeff Cox of Warren; two daughters, Rita Harris of Lapeer, Mich., Liz McNiff of East China, Mich.; a brother, C.G. ...

ADVANCE -- Lee J. Cox, 68, of Warren, Mich., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1995, in Warren.

He was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Advance, son of Comelous and Althea Zimmerman Cox. He married Mary Eakins.

Cox was a retired tool and die worker.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Cox of Las Cruces, N.M., Jeff Cox of Warren; two daughters, Rita Harris of Lapeer, Mich., Liz McNiff of East China, Mich.; a brother, C.G. Cox of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Mary Crosswhite, Ilene Hitt and Virginia Smith of Advance, Ruby Johnson of St. Ann, Lillian Smith of Overland, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Green-Cox Cemetery in Advance, with Matt Palmer officiating.

Friends may call Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
