OLMSTED, Ill. -- Lee Hannon, 76, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born the son of Mike and Adalia Krigsheuser Hannon. Hannon had served in World War II. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City and VFW Post 8891 at Mounds. OLMSTED, Ill. -- Lee Hannon, 76, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born the son of Mike and Adalia Krigsheuser Hannon.

Hannon had served in World War II.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City and VFW Post 8891 at Mounds. He was also a member of the Retired Postmasters Association and the Concord Cemetery Board.

He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Cairo.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Barnes Hannon of Olmsted; two daughters, Mary Evers of Villa Ridge, and Wenefride Ward of Rock Ledge, Fla.; two sons, Zachary Hannon of Mounds and Xavier Hannon of Vienna; two sisters, Vera Wissman of Mount Vernon and Adeline Landacre of Rock Ledge; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Parish prayers will be said at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church in Mound City, with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Graveside military rites will be performed by Mounds VFW Post 8891. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery at Grand Chain.
