OLMSTED, Ill. -- Lee Hannan, 76, of Olmsted died Friday, June 9, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Nov. 8, 1923, at Olmsted, son of Mike and Adalia Krigsheuser Hannan. He married Mary Lillian Barnes.
Hannan was a member of Retired Postmasters Association, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, VFW Post 8891 in Mounds, Knights of Columbus in Cairo, and Concord Cemetery Board.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mary Angeline Evers of Villa Ridge, Wenefride Lee Ward of Rock Ledge, Fla.; two sons, Zachary Hannan of Mounds, Xavier Hannan of Vienna; two sisters, Vera Wissman of Mt. Vernon, Adeline Landacre of Rock Ledge; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Vincent Hannan.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Church in Mound City at 11 a.m. today. Msgr. Bill McGhee will officiate. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Grand Chain, with military graveside rites.
Pallbearers will be David Hileman, George Barnes, Al Medernach, Clayton Bierbaum, Roger Barnes and Kevin Ulrich. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hileman, Allen Witzman, Tip Beitt, Gerald Curt, Orville Kovach, George Britt, Richard Galemore, Bruce Mosby, Bobby Reichert and J.R. Hannan.
Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak is in charge of arrangements.
