JONESBORO, Ill. -- Lee Edward Gibson, 64, Jonesboro Route 1, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1995, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Sept. 6, 1930, in McClure, son of Herbert and Pauline Copeland Gibson. He and Tamiko Fujikawa were married Dec. 14, 1951, in Tokyo, Japan...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Lee Edward Gibson, 64, Jonesboro Route 1, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1995, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Sept. 6, 1930, in McClure, son of Herbert and Pauline Copeland Gibson. He and Tamiko Fujikawa were married Dec. 14, 1951, in Tokyo, Japan.

Gibson was retired from the military, having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lee Gibson Jr. of Jonesboro, Allen Gibson of Meta, Mo.; two daughters, Sandy Gibson of Makanda, Debbie Gibson of Murphysboro; three brothers, Delbert, Larry and Don Clover of Jonesboro; two sisters, Eileen Cook of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Charlotte McNamer of Wisconsin, and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Nelson officiating. Burial will be In Jonesboro Cemetery, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3455.
