Lee E. Bollinger
Lee E. Bollinger of Park Hills passed away August 9, 1999 at the Camelot Nursing Home, Farmington, Mo. He was born July 8, 1921 at Advance, Mo. son of the late James F. & Laura (Hartle) Bollinger. Was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Bonnie Pletcher. Leaves to mourn his passing, wife of 53 years, Mary Lou (Riemann) Bollinger, two daughters, Becky L. LaBruyere of Park Hills, Sally A. Bollinger of Bloomington, Illinois, two grandchildren Chris L. (Lane) LaBruyere and Sally M. LaBruyere of Park Hills, one great grandchild Clayton Lee LaBruyere of Park Hills, two sisters, Hester (Donald) Lynch of California, Bernice (Keith) Haynes of Jackson, Mo., one brother James (Peggy) Bollinger of Marquand, Mo., also a host of relatives and friends.
Lee grew up around Jackson, Mo. Served in the Armed Forces in the European Theater during World War II receiving a Purple Heart. Was discharged October, 1945. Started his own business Bollinger Body Shop at Jackson, Mo. In October 1954 purchased the Oldsmobile Franchise and later the GMC & Pontiac Franchise in Flat River, Mo., Lee owned and operated B&B Olds-Pont-GMC for 45 years. Member of the United Methodist Church, Park hills, Farmington Elks Club, V.F.W. Post #5896, Shriner, Elvins-Ionic #154 A.F. & A.M. Lodge, United Methodist Men's Club, Rotary Club, Flat River Chamber of Commerce.
Body will lie in state at Horton Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills Wednesday, August 11, 1999 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Will lie in state at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo. August 12, 1999 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services at McCombs Funeral Home, August 13, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Cape Girardeau, Mo. Memorials to United Methodist Church, Park Hills, or the National Liver Foundation.
