BERTRAND, Mo. -- Lear Mock, 85, of Bertrand died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Nov. 28, 1915, in Russellville, Ark., daughter of William James and Martha Elizabeth Hill Parrish. She and William C. Mock were married May 5, 1942. He died Oct. 8, 1999.
A resident of Bertrand since 1946, she had worked in food service at Sikeston Public Schools. She was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Mock Sr. of Bertrand; two daughters, Shelby Childs of Dixon, Ky., Janet Singleton of Greenwood, Miss.; a sister, Lois Mullican of Sallisaw, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
