MOUNDS, Ill. -- Leanos Schultz, 81, of Mounds died Friday, July 30, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born April 7, 1918, at Olmsted, son of Henry and Ollie Stoner Schultz.
Schultz was a retired truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Schultz of Anna, Danny Schultz of Freeburg, Charles Schultz of Dongola, Jerry Schultz of Mounds; twin daughters, Sharon Goins and Karen Toler of Dongola.
Also surviving are four brothers, Owen Schultz of Dongola, Henry Schultz Jr. of Collinsville, Donald Schultz of O'Fallon, Bobby Schultz of Carbondale; two sisters, Martha Brown of Dongola, Beulah Marrs of Pontoon Beach; a friend, Barbara Coleson of Mounds; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, a sister, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms after 5 p.m. today, and Sunday until service time.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Vester Keesee will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
