LEANNA M. KUNTZE

JACKSON -- Leanna M. Kuntze, 89, a former resident of Jackson, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.She was born Sept. 18, 1910, in Dutchtown, daughter of Charles and Anna Nieman Bochers. She married Eberhard Kuntze on June 28, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1988.

They moved to Jackson from Altenburg in 1950. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson for many years and transferred to Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Fishkill, N.Y. While living in Jackson she provided child care in her home for many years.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Kuntze of Fishkill, N.Y., with whom she had resided since 1988; a daughter, Betty Stalcup of Tulsa, Okla.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate, with burial at Russell Heights Cemetery.
